Jennifer Deans, Senior Pastor, Living Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church, Sterling, Virginia
Jennifer Deans is passionate about helping people discover God’s relevance in their lives through discipleship. More than anything else, Jennifer desires to lead people to a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ that radically changes their lives forever. she does this by intentionally engaging in the everyday messy lives of people and modeling a God-centered worldview.
Pastor Deans earned a degree in Metropolitan Ministries, with a concentration in theology, from Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University) in 2003. Hired by the Potomac Conference her senior year, she attended Andrews theological Seminary, graduating with a Masters of Divinity degree in 2005. She served as Associate/Youth pastor of the Vienna Seventh-day Adventist Church from 2006 until 2012. She was ordained/commissioned by the Potomac Conference on July 23, 2011. In 2012, Pastor Deans joined the staff of the Community Praise Center as the campus pastor for CPC-Dulles. She was honored to lead the campus as they were planted as a church on April 25, 2015. Now known as Living Faith Seventh-day Adventist Church, she continues leading them and being part of all the amazing things God is doing.
In 2006, Jennifer married her high school sweetheart, Kevin John Deans I. their son, KJ, was born on August 24, 2012—who they absolutely adore!
Jennifer enjoys being around people and loves planning get-togethers with her neighbors, friends, and community. She also is passionate about doing things in a healthy, natural way, and enjoys searching the Internet for recipes to make healthy food, as well as cleaning and skin care products. She manages some pretty amazing discoveries!
